Home Decor Online

Here's a new site I've created, http://www.inhometrends.com/ to try a software that creates affiliate sites. I love home decorating, and thought this might be a good fit. There are all kind of sub-categories to find specific accessories like, clocks, mirrors, lamps, etc. I was really impressed with the selection! So much to choose from!

South Beach Diet Recipes

I found a great resource on ebay of south beach diet recipes with resale rights and decided to put them online with Google Adsense--will see what happens.

The recipes look great, even if you're not dieting! Try some here:

Yorkie Ping

My daughter, Kaitlyn, has created a site about Yorkie dogs called, http://ilovemyyorkie.com.

She has a 3/4 Yorkie and 1/4 Shi-Tzu mix, Junior. He's a sweet little dog and she adores him--especially after begging for one for 3 years. She would get the free classifieds every time we went to the store, looking for a small dog. I helped her build her website, but she did most of it on her own: decided the layout, found the content information, and now she can crop and resize the pictures people send to her on her own.

She is getting visitors who are sending her pictures, but I don't know how they are finding it.

I'm trying to blog and ping her URL so we can at least get it listed in Google.

Take a peek at her site--she's done a good job! :) (I am a little biased!)

New Directions

I know I haven't posted for a long time. I've had to re-evaluate the direction I was taking with my online business. First, I've gotten a part-time job with a company as a graphic designer for a scrapbooking company. This is the second scrapbooking company I've worked for in recent years--It is a big industry in my area. I'm enjoying it, and it give us the income that we need, but it leaves less time for me to devote to my online ventures.

Secondly, I've decided to not pursue the momsmakingit.com route. This has been hard for me to let go of, because it was my baby and I've put a lot of time into it.

After talking with a successful online affiliate and getting some good tips from him, I've spent some time developing a new site: http://aboutcenter.com/creditcards which is basically a site to search for the right credit card.

I'll use the root of the site to develop other niche sites without needing to purchase a new dedicated domain name, server space, etc.

I'm also excited about the things I'm learning in an online class from Sharon and Roy Montero, who are Search Engine Optimization experts. I've just need to go over the ideas a couple times to really digest everything.

I'm excited about the possibilities. I know it can work because I've personally talked to many people who have made it work. So... I'll keep plugging along.
